CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition (ACE) great success
The 2009 CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition (ACE) is over for another year; and what a year this was.
For the first time ever it was on MOL’s home territory of Manchester. Whether it was just the convenient location, the draw of a wonderful city like Manchester or the huge variety of exhibitors, the event seemed busier than ever this year.
Our free workshops in the MOL sponsored ‘Personal Development Zone’ were so popular that it was standing room only! MOL’s own ‘CIPD Certificate’ trainer, Catherine Sandland provided three of these on the topic of ‘Difficult people? Or people with different views? Building relationships at work’ and received a wonderful response from all who attended.
ACE’s location wasn’t the only first this year. It was also the first time MOL needed two prominent stands to exhibit their portfolio of CIPD/HR programmes; the most comprehensive of any training provider. Not surprisingly, our Flexible Learning+ stand drew particular attention from prospective students. They were interested in the idea of studying for such a high level qualification but with the unique benefit of being able to incorporate it into their own busy lifestyle. Find out more about how you can benefit from the Flexible Learning+ programme.
We were fortunate to have two current MOL students on hand to testify to the success of our PDS programme; Jamie Patel and Julie Webber. They had visited the exhibition to receive their awards for achieving the highest pass mark results in the CIPD’s national examinations for the ‘Personnel Management and Development’ and ‘Electives’ fields of their CIPD Professional Development Scheme exams, respectively. MOL are very proud of this achievement, and can add two more names to the roll call of ten other MOL students who have won CIPD Awards over the past eight years.
As the MOL stands are packed away for another year and the crowds of prospective students slowly leave the exhibition, MOL prepares itself for another 12 months of ever increasing enrolments to their CIPD programmes and the student successes that follow.
