Property Courses : Frequently Asked Questions

When can I start the course?

You can commence studying for your NAEA qualifications with MOL at any time. The examinations are held four times a year (in January, March, June and September) for the Technical Awards, and twice a year (in April and September) for the Diplomas.

How much support will I get from MOL?

You can have as much as you need. A tutor will contact you on a periodic basis to check your progress and answer any questions you may have. You can telephone, email, fax or post any questions you  may have.  At the end of each Technical Award unit, upon request, you will be given a mock assessment to evaluate your achievement, which will be marked and returned with  comments. This will enable you to identify your strengths and weaknesses in the module before taking the examination.

Are there any workshops?

The materials supplied by MOL provide all the information you need to successfully complete your course.  However, due to overwhelming demand from our students, workshops will also be available throughout the year. These are ideal for those who would like to enhance their studies in a training environment and actively explore topics covered in the workbook. The powerful combination of face-to-face tutoring, student participation and memory techniques provides another dimension to the learning experience.

What are the benefits of studying by flexible learning?

You can study when and where it is most convenient  for you. You will receive excellent learning materials written by  us, and approved by the NAEA. You will get a very high level of support  from our highly qualified and experienced tutors, which will enable you to study at your own pace.

I have just qualified to Certificate level. What can I do to get  the new Diploma?

If you have qualified in the last three years, it is possible for you to qualify for the Diploma by completing a work-based project. You will need to contact the NAEA to find out if you are eligible. As for all of our NAEA awards, you will receive comprehensive guidelines on how to write a project, and excellent tutor support during your  research of the selected topic area.

Do I have to take all of the examinations at one sitting?

No, you do not have to take all examinations in one sitting, although, for the Technical Awards, we would encourage you to do so, to allow for the support period of the course. Alternatively, you  can sit two or three simultaneously, the choice is yours.

What happens if I need additional support at the end of my initial  support period?

Further support time can be purchased, for a period of time. Additional information can be obtained from MOL.
