The ILM Certificate in First Line Management is designed for people who are likely to become, or who already are, first line managers/supervisors and who have sufficient work experience to allow them to benefit from the programme and contribute to the group.
What are my career prospects/next steps after the course?
Successful completion provides eligibility for Associate membership of the ILM.
The units that you achieve in the Award and Certificate can be carried forward to the ILM’s Diploma programme.
How is the ILM Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management course delivered?
The course is a ‘fully taught’ programme that requires attendance at facilitated and tutored workshops in Manchester, which are run one afternoon and evening per week for 20-25 weeks (a minimum of 120 hours of workshops).
Where do the workshops take place?
The course is delivered at venues throughout Manchester. We can also provide courses in-house at an organisation’s own premises. Please see our information about bespoke training for business.
How long does the ILM Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management course last?
20-25 weeks
How will I be assessed?
You will be expected to complete
- a work-based assignment and Change Management Report covering the four mandatory units
- a range of assessments comprising reflective reviews, knowledge reviews, oral presentations and role plays/scenarios covering the optional units
Guidance and coaching will be given.
