Is this course for me?

The course is for corporate clients, so it can only be booked by businesses for their employees, rather than by individuals.

The minimum entry requirements are five GCSEs, including mathematics and science at grade C or above, and English language.

What are my employees’ next steps after the course?

After completing this course, students are qualified to undertake work as technicians. They can also progress onto the Edexcel BTEC Higher National Certificate.

How is the course delivered?

The course is delivered by flexible learning, consisting of

  • an induction
  • ten two-day tutorials
  • around ten to 15 hours’ study time each week using learning materials produced by MOL and textbooks

When and where do tutorials take place?

The dates and locations of the tutorials are agreed with you (the employer) before the programme for your students begins.

How long does the course last?

Two years

How will students be assessed?

Assessment is via practical assignments and coursework completed throughout the course, a project and exams at the end of each unit.
