CIPD People Management and Development (PM&D)

What is PM&D?

PM&D covers the essential topic area of strategic HR. It deals with the horizontal and vertical integration of all elements of HR; in doing so, it is the compulsory field of CIPD Flexible Learning+ because it binds all elements of the programme together. The aim is to help you understand the wider, strategic role of human resources within an organisation. Therefore, to make a contribution to your organisation at no extra cost!

PM&D consists of four modules, which are

  • People Resourcing
  • Employee Reward
  • Employee Relations
  • Learning and Development

It also integrates all of the ‘fields' of CIPD Flexible Learning+ together.

At MOL, our PM&D also includes the Applied Personnel and Development (AP&D) field. Please visit our AP&D page for further information.
