Is this course for me?
The CPP is aimed at line managers, administrators or personnel assistants (PAs) seeking to gain a support-level HR qualification and CIPD membership.
What level of CIPD membership will I have?
You will have Studying Affiliate Member status, which is mandatory while you are studying. The cost of CIPD membership is not included in the course, and you will need to obtain membership directly with the CIPD.
On completion of the CPP, you will be entitled to Associate Member status.
What are my career prospects/next steps after the course?
The CPP will be your first step in your HR career and your first CIPD qualification. The course opens up a range of professional appointments within HR.

The course is delivered through flexible learning, consisting of
- one full day induction workshop
- 11 full day workshops (one per month)
- one personal tutorial
- self-study using MOL workbooks
- tutor support via email, fax or telephone

How long does the course last?
Twelve months
How will I be assessed?
You will need to complete
- two written assignments
- two skill-based assignments
- a project proposal
- a business project
- a continuous professional development (CPD) record
It is also required that you attend a minimum of 80% of the workshops.
